Submit ManuscriptThe Penn State Journal of Law & International Affairs (JLIA) is a student-edited, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal jointly published by Penn State Law and School of International Affairs. JLIA accepts manuscript submissions throughout the year.
JLIA publishes twice a year and includes scholarly articles and student comments focusing on developments of international law and current issues.
Topic Requirements:
The Journal promotes academic and public discourse at the intersection of law and international affairs, featuring contributions in the areas of public and private international law, international relations, comparative law and politics, geography, economics, history, and policy issues in the various sciences. We cover a range of timely topics including but not limited to: global economy, international crimes, human rights, counter-terrorism, international trade, intellectual property, sports and entertainment law. We promise to publish a diverse range of articles on current international law issues and developments.
All JLIA issues are available online and indexed by LEXIS and Westlaw.
Manuscripts Specifications:
- Microsoft Word format
- Single or double-spaced
- Minimum of 8,000 words (including footnotes)
- Text and citations should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed. 2021)
In addition to their manuscripts, authors should submit a CV and a separate cover sheet which includes a brief abstract.
